ONCE UPON A TIME

It was in Haute-Nendaz, back in 2002. During a further training course for skiing instructors we were informed of the increasing importance of head-gear protection in winter sport.

Over the following years I began with the development of a new kind of head protection. It was to be a warm, head-protecting woollen cap, a snazzy accessory, light and pleasant to wear.

Together with a little team, we where able to put our ideas into practice and present our first collection at the ISPO 2005.

WHAT IS RIBCAP

Ribcap was presented for the first time in 2005 as a world wide innovation. They possess the warming characteristics and comfort of a classical woolen cap and look like regular caps. On the other hand, the integrated protection-material in the textile shell, which is distinguished by its low weight and visco-elastic characteristics, absorbs shock on impact and as a result reduces the danger of injury.
